Self-Portrait 34

By my count, this is self-portrait 34 in this project.   When I need to shoot something interesting everyday and I can’t find a suitable subject, it makes sense to shoot myself.  After all, I am trying to share a bit of me in every photo I create.  What better way to do that than with a photograph of the photographer?  And with the project starting to wind down (at least for the first 365 images), it may be the last selfie in the series. Who knows?

Day 328 of my 365 photo a day project.

This photograph was shot with 2 flashes.  One to camera right, above head level at about 75 degrees from straight on.  The second was low to camera left at about 1/64th power.  Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop with heavy use of the new Topaz Glow 2 and Impression 2 plugins.

Are you looking for art for your home or office or something to spice up your digital desktop?  This image and most of the others from this project are available as prints and digital downloads.  You can also check out the rest of my portfolio here.  And don’t forget to subscribe to the blog so you don’t miss anything!

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
