I just can’t get enough of vintage camera gear. This is the Revere Eight Model 99 8mm camera. I picked this up at a rummage sale in the neighborhood a few weeks ago for $2. I’m not sure if it still works well and honestly, it really doesn’t matter. I bought it for how it looks rather than how it works. There are times I wish they still made them like this. Don’t get me wrong, I love the high tech, digital cameras of today. But, wow, vintage gear like this is just so cool.
Perhaps a whole series of retro gear portraits is in order. I now have several finished photographs, including this one. (See them here, here, here, and here.) Maybe even a book. Who knows? Stay tuned…
