On a walk today to Lake Michigan, I stopped at the Lake Park Pavilion to take in the view of the water while enjoying the relatively warm early March weather. As I sat there, the view through the stucco arches of the picnic shelter reminded me for some reason of photographs and paintings I’ve seen of Mediterranean villas on the cliffs overlooking the blue waters of the sea and bright noonday sun casting the purple blue shadows through the arches and columns. The kind of scene that makes you wish you had a nice glass of wine, a comfy chair, no worries, and all the time in the world.
Well, this is not quite the coast of Greece or Italy (ha, far from it!), but, if only for a brief moment, I hope this image can take you there in your dreams.
Day 163 of my 365 photo a day project.
