A New Beginning or…

A New Beginning…or a continuation?  Either way, I’m restarting my blog here.  Writing has never been a strong area for me – it feels like pulling teeth.

A worn wooden boardwalk starts low in the frame and moves out through marshy grasslands into a small grove of wetland trees.

I am a photographer after all – a picture is worth a 1000 words and all that.  However, I do feel that my thoughts and words can add to what I say through my photographs and art.  In addition, I can share other artists and arts, what music and things inspire me (and may inspire you), what I am working on, what makes me happy or sad or pissed off, and perhaps some behind the scenes on my processes.

I hope to make this an almost everyday occurrence.  But you’ll have to forgive me if I lapse on that.  Life gets in the way sometimes.  But my goal is to create more, share more, be more open into how I am.  I want to foster genuine interactions between real humans.  We need more of that in today’s society.  Will this make an impact?  If I can connect and create joy or move folks or foster deep conversations with only a few people, then it has.

So, here is the first (new) post of (hopefully) many more to come.  I hope you’ll come along with me on the journey.  Please take a bit of time and let me know what you think in the comments and share with like-minded (or unlike-minded) folks as well.

Thanks!

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.

  1. It sounds like the same goals I have with my blog. Sometimes it is totally off the cuff (the latest one for instance), whereas others are planned and edited. Good luck. I hope to keep reading your work.
