“Man cannot aspire if he looked down; if he rise, he must look up”
–Samuel Smiles
Whenever I am out and about with my camera, I am always looking around. Up, down, left, right, front, behind. You never know what a change in perspective will reveal. That is especially true when inside old public buildings. Looking around, you’re liable to find ornate woodwork, intricate tile patterns, and gold inlay in the trim. On the ceiling, you may find an interesting light fixture or two.
This minimalist photograph is of a simple light in the ceiling at the Milwaukee Public Library Central branch.
