Clash of Seasons

“Beauty is the only thing that time cannot harm. Philosophies fall away like sand, creeds follow one another, but what is beautiful is a joy for all seasons, a possession for all eternity.”
–Oscar Wilde

We had our first real snowfall of the season a few days ago.  After the storm passed, I took a walk through Riverside Park near our home.  It was clear, cold, quiet, and beautiful.  I took many photos, yet I kept coming back to the single leaves laying on top of the fresh snow.  It was as if fall was trying to one up winter saying ‘Hey Winter, I’m still here!’   However, Autumn, that is about to change.  With sub-zero temps and more snow in the forecast, I think Old Man Winter will win this battle, as he always does.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
