Five Smooth Stones

I was inspired to shoot these five smooth stones by the Biblical story of David and Goliath.  If you recall, the young shepherd boy David slew the great giant Goliath with a single rock thrown from a slingshot.  But before approaching the giant, David stopped and carefully selected 5 stones as ammunition.  Now that got me to thinking.   Was David lacking faith and trust in the Lord?  Or was he just being prepared for any possible situation?  I prefer to believe the latter.

So as I move through my daily life, I’ll trust that I have the good Lord looking after me and have faith in the tools and knowledge I carry with me.  But I’m also going to have a bag filled with virtual rocks.  Because you never know when life will decide to go sideways.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
