Learning to Let Go

Learning to Let Go
Learning to Let Go

“Learning to let go should be learned before learning to get. Life should be touched, not strangled. You’ve got to relax, let it happen at times, and at others move forward with it.”
–Ray Bradbury

Life can be crazy.  Or perhaps, better said, Life is crazy.  Just turn on the news, read the newspaper, listen to the radio, and look around you.  Life is happening and it is not always sunny.  We get caught up in the day to day mundane things.   We worry about things out of our control.  We create mountains out of small stones.  With all of this swirling around in our heads, it’s no wonder we can’t relax.  But think about it this way – when we step back, take a deep breath, and lay down the stones,  the pebbles that are our worries, mistakes, and stumbling blocks,  can make a fine road on which to walk.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
