Architectural DNA

While walking to the store today, I stopped to get a shot of the side of this building.  I’m not sure if you can see it, but it looked like a giant DNA test result to me with its thin vertical windows and alternating rusty metal siding and concrete lines.  Do you think the architect had that in mind? Hmm…

I’m always amazed at the creativity of contemporary architects.  The structures they build with the multiple materials, contrasting colors, and different textures are mind blowing.   It also makes for some great subjects for photography.  While I’ve never considered myself an architectural photographer, you will see more shots like this from me in the future.

Day 280 of my 365 photo a day project.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
