Family Time on a Spring Weekend

Family Hike
Family Hike

Today was all about family.  It was an absolutely beautiful spring day with temps in the mid-70s and plenty of sunshine.  We bought plants for the garden in the morning and then hiked the Seven Bridges Trail in South Milwaukee before noon.  After naps (unfortunately, no nap for me), we grilled hot dogs and corn on the cob and then dined al fresco.   Couldn’t ask for a better day.  ‘Blessed’ is a great word to describe how I feel.

Today’s image is my son, standing on a fallen log, pointing out all the cool things he can see from that high (for him) vantage point.

Day 234 of my 365 photo a day project.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
