In the Ether

“I’m trained to look for certain things… I shoot, I shoot, I shoot, and then I go find it in the ether.”
–Sante D’Orazio

This statement pretty much sums up my image for today.  I was not feeling very creative.  When that happens, to get out of the creative funk, I try something new – a new technique, a different lens, a unique angle, et cetera.  My solution today, was to put my Diana+ 20mm plastic lomography lens (with Nikon adaptor) on my camera and play with in-camera motion.  I got a lot, and I mean A LOT, of really bad shots. But, in the ether, I did find some interesting images, including the self-portrait below.  So, long story short, keep shooting, mix things up, and the creative ideas and images will come.

And today is also a milestone day.  I am now half way through my 365 project!  Woo hoo!  182 days to go.

Day 183 of my 365 photo a day project.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
