The Crazy Photographer at Work

This shot involves one camera, one tripod, a cell phone light, one set of extension tubes, two lenses and one crazy photographer (me).   In between 3D animation jobs and a quick trip out to the in-laws, I set my Nikon D700 with my 50mm 1.8 and extension tubes up on my tripod.  The subject is the front element of my Diana+ 20mm plastic fisheye lomography lens.  I used my cell phone to light my face so it was brighter in the reflection.

Not every shot in this year-long project is going to be gallery ready, but I sure as hell am gonna have a ton of fun shooting and processing!

Day 169 of my 365 photo a day project.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
