Blue White Blue

“A trilogy is a pretty abstract notion. You can apply it to almost any three things.”
–Jonathan Demme

This trilogy of alternating sheets of blue and white sheets of paper is a continuation of yesterday’s image.  And again,  I was playing with shape, form and line – foundations of composition – to create a simple and minimal image.  To emphasize the shadow between the sheets of paper, I used lens caps to prop up each piece of card stock.  (Lens caps – not just to cover lenses anymore!)

Processed in Photoshop, I adjusted the contrast and curves to accent the shading and texture.  I also used Topaz Clarity for detail and Topaz Impression to slightly smooth out the paper texture.

Day 166 of my 365 photo a day project.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
