Color and Smoke III – Dance

“I’d rather learn from one bird how to sing than to teach ten thousand stars how not to dance”
— e.e. cummings

The third in a series, this is two different photographs combined into one image.  I love how the two seem to be embracing, as if dancing.   As before, the smoke was shot over a black background with the image inverted and colorized in Photoshop.

I’ve had a lot of fun shooting smoke the last few days.  I’ve been using some cheap incense to create the stuff and now my office smells like a new age smoke shop.  Oh, the things we do to get the shot.

Day 122 of 365.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
