Lost and Alone

Lost and Alone

I often wonder what stories these old abandoned homes could tell.   This particular home we found on a country road between Montello and Princeton, Wisconsin.  I saw it and immediately had to pull over, grab my camera and tripod and set up to take the shot.    For some reason, an old John Denver lyric popped into my head:
“Lost and alone on some forgotten highway, traveled by many remembered by few.”    Does anyone actually remember this old house or is it alone and lost forever?

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
