Frost

"It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbeam. This crisp winter air is full of it." --John Burroughs Frosty ice crystals form on my office window on a very cold January winter morning in Milwaukee. They are beautiful for sure, but it has to be quite frigid for these to grow. Plus, your windows need to be a bit drafty. Oh well, the things we sacrifice for our art. Clash of Seasons

Clash of Seasons

“Beauty is the only thing that time cannot harm. Philosophies fall away like sand, creeds follow one another, but what is beautiful is a joy for all seasons, a possession for all eternity.” –Oscar Wilde

Dust Off the Clock

“Blow the dust off the clock. Your watches are behind the times. Throw open the heavy curtains which are so dear to you – you do not even suspect that the day has already dawned outside.” –Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
