These futuristic arches line a hallway in the Milwaukee Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Now, in reality, it is just one hall, not two. I mirrored the image to create the pair of arched hallways.

You may ask why I decided to mirror the shot.  The architecture of this building, especially the interior spaces, is reminiscent of sets from many science fiction TV shows and movies.  Since I am a child of the 70s/80s and a science fiction geek, it just made sense.  Besides, Darth Vader would not look out of place should I see him marching down this arched walkway with a phalanx of Stormtroopers.  So why not have a bit of fun with the shot, right?  Perhaps in the future, I’ll add some 23rd century characters or maybe a bunch of rebels from a galaxy far, far away.  Who knows?

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
