The Chicago Elevated

The Elevated II
The Elevated II

It has been a couple of years since I’ve taken a ride on the Chicago Elevated.  And a bit longer than that since I took this photo. (July, 2011)  But tomorrow I will be back in old Chi-Town to meet some great friends and spend the entire day shooting the city.  It is interesting that I lived in Chicago for about 12 years and never really spent any time shooting.  Part of it could be that I had not yet re-discovered my passion for photography. Well, whatever the reason, in a week or so,  I hope to have a large number of new photographs to share with you.

In the meantime, for the next few days, I will be sharing previously taken photos from my time in Chicago.

Day 256 of my 365 photo a day project.

Emotion. Mood. Feelings. This is what I capture through my photographs. Whether it is landscapes, architectural elements, still life, or macros - it is a very personal journey as my own fears, triumphs, beliefs, and shortcomings are exposed with each photo. In the end, it is all about telling compelling stories.
